 Mt. Hollywood Hiking Trail

We drove to the top of this mountain hill and the parking lot was packed.  This trail looks way cool but we did not hike it.  I snapped some more pictures and then drove back down the hill...

The Observatory from our parking spot

Located at 800 E Observatory Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90027, we parked about 3/8ths of a mile down the hill and then began our hike to the top.  The place was totally packed.  Entrance and parking is free however some of the exhibits would cost you something?  We kept it free...

I weigh 38 pounds on the Moon!!!

My neighbor from my childhood is related to Albert

Pink's Hot Dogs - The wait begins

Located at 709 N La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90038, this is not a hike.  It was a long wait...

Yum - And the Hot Dog was pretty good too :)

  1. Just checked my calendar. I didn't work on the 22nd. But I did work on the 23rd. You shoulda come on Sunday. :D

Everything in the Observatory is free except for the Planetarium shows. Best hike from there, if you have the time, is to Burbank Peak. Easier would be either Ferndell or just on up to Mt. Hollywood.

Of course, it gets crowded there on weekends, so come early, or come on a weekday.

  2. I will heading back from sequioa
Trying to get some elevation in before the whitney climb next month...
