Day 508: Alki Beach - West Seattle - Birthplace of Seattle

Day #508 * Hike #584 * New Track #518
Friday April 6, 2012
Alki Trail - West Seattle
My Tripometer: 2.5 Hours * 2 Miles * +0 Feet

After Beacon Hill, we continued the randomness of our drive and ended up on the West Side.  At first it felt like we were going into some industrial type ports but then the community opened up.  It reminded me of a mixture of Seal Beach and Silver Strand.

There are miles of beaches and promenades to walk down.  It's pretty barren at first looking out over Seattle but then when you round the corner to focus your sights on the Puget Sound, the community starts rock'n.

So this was the Birthplace of Seattle.  Another lucky random find for us.  The sun was going down and now we must search for some dinner.

We found a quaint park in the residential behind the restaurants

We decided on Mexican Food, decent food, good price

I believe the snow cap mountain beyond is Mt. Olympus

The night sky with my camera; interesting...

This marked the end of our Seattle visit/  We would fly back to Vegas from Portland tomorrow but along the way I found a few more places to run off into...
