One of Many Steep Hills
 Another day at Arroyo Verde.  As Ayden works out at Buena for his Track Practice, I take it to the hills of my backyard.  Today I started near the front entrance, ran upthe Caretakers Trail, up the service road, looped back to the park, jogged up Rattle Snake Traill, which then led me to the picture you see above.

A View Forward!

If you look closely, you will see a very tiny - itty-bitty trail that goes up on the left.  Yay, that's me.  To do this, you have to go under the barb wire twice and then a third time near the top.  To avoid the nasty Achilles Heel breaker, you can dodge the barb just once, head down the road and then back up and around to reach the top - The Radio Towers!  Needless to say, I took the easy way down - a bit longer in distance but much less stress on the legs and I was able to run it -- rushing back to pick up my boy...

**Down nearly 10 pounds for the week and 12 pounds from the heaviest.  What a comeback!!!  Let's see how long I can keep this streak going.  It was a combination of 3 full days in a row taking in much less calories, hiking - jogging, a gym workout, no beer and the right mind set!

-My First 1000 Hikes was only a Warm Up!
