Directions:
Take HWY 33 North out of Ojai. Climb all the way up and over the Pine Mountain Peak, which is approximately 15 miles past Rose Valley. About 2 miles further, you will see the Deal Connector on your left...
Heading up the 33, This is near Day 517: Chorro Grande Trail
Just over the Pine Mountain Summit
if you look on the right side of this pic, near the road, you'll see this sign...
Pull in. The dirt road is about 100 yards
its a little rough, not too bad
Trailhead
Passing through burn area, heading slightly uphill at first
And then down...
Deal Canyon Trail Junction, no sign
Go straight (left) to Mine Camp
After a short climb, you enter the forest...
Nasty Water below...

Made it to camp
I left my poles for the tent at home
So I improvised
A good look at the camp - unexpected - a nice getaway!
Bugs! Not too bad, but I liked the look...
Dinner Time!
After sausages, the sun began to set and it was nearly time for bed. To be continued...
