Our parking spot added at least a half mile to the trek, and although we ran it, we could not beat the rain. It came down heavy - made it more memorable with light thunder in the background. This was one of the cooler highest peaks that I've been to; and it's an easy one.
Pigeon Forge - Dollywood
Before climbing the peak, heading out of Knoxville, we randomly drove through this area called Pigeon Forge. This was a completely random stop and it's only about a half hour outside of the highpoint so I deemed it worth sharing on this post. We stopped at this one random upside down building place, check it out... (We didn't, however, stop at Dollywood)
