Hikes of Alabama

Located in the Talladega National Forest, the highest point of Alabama is only a few walking steps off the road.  However, there are trails that climb through the forest to escalate your adventure.

On the border of Alabama and Florida, hence the name, the locals say that this lake leads to a series of secret rivers and caverns where the alligators are ferocious.  We didn't see any gators or dangers from our standpoint.

Offering spectacular views of downtown Birmingham, this quick escape is an activity the whole family can enjoy.  Learn history about The Cascade and Vulcan, the God of Fire and Metals!

Ricky Bobby was a no-show for our visit.  On race day I can only imagine how crazy packed this area may get.  However, we had the place to ourselves.  #Checkerflag
