The Aliso Creek
Ironically and unexpectedly, I hiked on the Aliso Creek Trail up in Lake Forest yesterday: Day 641: Aliso Creek Trail. Well, I found where is comes out; at Aliso Beach in Laguna. (This reminds me of when I hiked Euclid Creek from Cedar Road in Beachwood, Ohio all the way to Lake Erie.)
I decided to come to Aliso Beach today because my last visit was absolutely amazing: Day 378: Dana Point & Aliso Beach. Last time we parked in the beach parking lot and I hiked to the south. Today I parked on the other side of the PCH (because the main lot was full). We hiked through the tunnel along the creek and ended up here:
Aliso Creek meets the Pacific
South of Aliso Beach
This is a low budget production so pardon the unflattering models
Ayden meets the wave!
...and my camera battery died :(. It was a long day and I must have hiked over 10 miles in 5 or 6 locations; lost track. The ocean water is a clear Caribbean like blue here. The waves are strong which presents a danger for the younglings but my boy Ayden was up for the challenge. We wandered to the south and eventually made our way back.
This concludes my Mission Viejo area experience. I am looking forward to explore the San Juan Capastrano area on Labor Day Weekend. Stay tuned...
